Yesterday Room 3 was very excited because we went on our first school trip. We went by bus to visit the Island Bay Beach and the Marine Centre. We explored the beach and the rocks where we saw lots of things like cats eyes, limpets and sea anemones.We built sandcastles and then ate our lunch at the park. At the Marine Centre we were able to touch starfish, sea cucumbers, kina and many other things. We all loved watching the octopus with all her babies. We had a great time and learned lots about the rocky shore.
It was a fun day of learning wasn't it Room 3. Room 2 children enjoyed finding and learning about all the sea creatures as well.
